Registered lightweight body brand

ALLYPAN®

Ultra-Light Pantech

ALLYPAN® is Kirin®'s lightweight aluminium pantech for payload-sensitive commercial work. It is designed to reduce body tare and leave more of the vehicle's rated capacity available for cargo.

Indicative payload comparison

About 510 kg lighter than the modelled steel pantech.

Approx. 510 kg lighterCompared with a modelled 950 kg conventional steel pantech body of similar size.
Up to 49% more payloadThe indicative comparison increases available payload from about 1,050 kg to about 1,560 kg on the same GVM platform.

Built for payload-sensitive delivery work.

A lighter body can allow a commercial vehicle to carry more cargo without increasing its rated GVM. In the indicative 4.5 tonne GVM comparison, ALLYPAN carries about 510 kg more payload than the comparable modelled steel pantech.

  • Delivery, retail distribution, furniture, appliance, parcel and fleet applications
  • Approximately 23.8 m³ cargo volume in the modelled 4.5 m × 2.3 m × 2.3 m body
  • Full-width rear opening suitable for selected tail-lift configurations
  • Large exterior surface for fleet branding and practical cleaning

Aluminium construction

ALLYWALL® panels with PVDF coating.

ALLYPAN® uses ALLYWALL® aluminium honeycomb panels with a PVDF-coated exterior. The construction combines low body mass with a clean, practical surface for commercial and branded fleet applications.

Aluminium is naturally resistant to rust, making it a practical material for bodies exposed to Queensland weather, regular washing and coastal operating conditions.

Diesel, hybrid and electric

Lower body tare supports changing fleet platforms.

DieselLower tare can support payload and may reduce fuel use in suitable duty cycles.
HybridA lightweight body can help offset additional hybrid-system mass and protect usable payload.
ElectricLower body weight can help reduce the payload-and-range trade-off on electric commercial vehicles.

Indicative environmental model

Potential fuel and CO₂-e reductions.

For the stated urban-delivery assumptions, the model estimates about 293 litres less diesel and approximately 794 kg CO₂-e avoided per vehicle each year.
